The most safe way we have found to enter UPC codes into PCX1000 is by means of a scanner attached to the PC. The scanner must be programmed to convert UPC-A to EAN-13. The scanner attached to the ECR must be programmed with the same setting. Please get familiar with this and make some tests before attempting to enter a big scanning codes file. Download some test programmed scanned codes to the ECR and try to ring some sales with the scan codes, the ECR should read them.
