This page contains answers to common questions handled by our support staff, along with some tips and tricks that we have found useful and presented here as questions.
Note: In these answers we will follow a few shorthand conventions for describing user-interface procedures. Key combinations will be presented like this: Ctrl+Alt+Delete, which means that you should press and hold down the Control key, the Alt key, and the Delete key at the same time. Menu selections will be presented like this: File->Open, which means that you should open the File menu, and then make the Open selection.
When installing PCX1000 v.7.1 and the Hardlock Drivers under Win-XP, you may be getting an error message indicating there is not enough space on disk to install. This error message is generated by the hardlock driver install script, and can be avoided when running the file from the hard disk. Click on the link below to get detailed instructions on how to avoid this problem. Corrections are being made to avoid this inconvenience, and they should be corrected in release 7.2 (due Feb-2006).

If you are using a DEMO version of PCX1000 and get the following error message: "Cannot find ///Fast hardlock driver", you will need to install the HDD32.EXE driver to simulate a Hardlock. You may also be experiencing problems with Hardlock compatibility. Please download and install this driver. This driver also corrects problems on Win 2000 and XP platforms.

If you are using SAMSUNG ECR management software on your PC, and you have installed PCX1000 (DEMO or Full Version), you might encounter problems with the Hardlock or Dongle recognition. Please download the driver for your Hardlock. This will resolve the conflict.

How do I configure my US-Robotics 5686 Modem?
